Solstice Tweetup: Sat 6/19 3-7pm

Hey kids! It’s @jmproffitt here, back from the dead — I mean the lower 48 — for a visit to the Last Frontier. And I couldn’t visit without instigating at least one Tweetup! So here’s the deal:

The peak of the Alaskan summer arrives this weekend, as we clock 19 hours and 22 minutes of daylight in Anchorage. But before we start shaving solar minutes off the clock, let’s celebrate the Arctic sun with an old-school all-hands-on-deck Tweetup!

Stop by anytime between 3:00 and 7:00pm at the Snow Goose downtown. If the weather is good, we’ll be out back on the deck, soaking in the open air. If it’s not so good, find us inside enjoying a cold beer and some hot halibut and chips.

And please: join us whether you’re an old tweeter or you’re just finding your new Twitter voice. Indeed, the last time we gathered up at the Snow Goose, we met several new friends.

Please note whether you’re attending via twtvite (yes/maybe/no), and let everyone know about the event!

  • Bring your camera
  • Bring your Twitter-enabled cell phone
  • Bring your appetite
  • Bring your smile

Thanks to @AgentIceCream, @MKinMotion, @Valette, @Robotkarateman and @lindseydurrell for helping pick the day/time and thanks to @Mayor_of_Twtr for suggesting the place!
