$1,000 Tasty Tweets Bake Sale Challenge

You already know about the Tasty Tweets Bake Sale, right? On Saturday, August 29 the Alaska Twitter community is coming together to raise money to help Juneau Twitter pal @freeryan, whose home burned down in June. Sounds nice, right?

But now it’s serious. Anchorage: you are being challenged.

Because for the first 90 minutes of the event (1:00 – 2:30pm), every dollar raised will be matched, 1-for-1 by @jmproffitt and @AgentIceCream (together), up to $1,000.

That means if we can raise $1,000 by 2:30pm through selling cookies, cakes, pies, coffee or simple cash donations, we will actually have raised $2,000! Your donation is simpy doubled. And hopefully that’s just the start.

Piling onto the challenge is Kaladi Brothers Coffee (@kaladibrothers), who is now bringing their popular locally-roasted coffee to the event at Bella Boutique (@bella_boutique) in Anchorage.

Mark your calendars! Download the Tasty Tweets flyer and spread the word. Stop by to say hello on a Saturday afternoon. Bring your friends and your sweet tooth. Sample the baking prowess of 15 local Tweeters coming together to help a friend. And please, give generously.
