Got a dog? Like dogs? Come out Sunday for a “Puppeh” Tweetup at the South Anchorage Sports Park. Hosted by @Valette and Olive, celebrate the (apparent) arrival of spring with a romp in the dog park.

Sunday, April 19
2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
South Anchorage Sports Park

(off Klatt Rd. and South Anchorage Sports Park Drive – MAP LINKPDF)

This area is an off-leash dog park, as designated by the Municipality of Anchorage. Dogs can run relatively free, but anyone bringing a dog must abide by the rules.

The open field area was really wet last week and should be again this week. If you’re joining us, be sure to wear appropriate boots or bring a change of footwear. And if you’re bringing your own puppeh, you might want to bring some towels to dry him/her off and to protect your car!

Let’s hope for beautiful weather on Sunday and we’ll see you — and your furry one(s) — there!

The Puppeh Tweetup sounds like great fun. I foster dogs for Friends of Pets and would really enjoy taking the babies out. Can’t this time, though, because the one I have right now is recovering from surgery. Next time! Looking forward to it!
